Obituary for Robert Michael Beatty

Robert M. Beatty, 60, known as "Mike" to family and friends, died at 03:15 p.m., Tuesday, June 6th, 2017, from accidental injuries sustained in his home in Milton, Florida.
Mike was born Oct. 28, 1956, in Mobile, Alabama to Robert Beatty and Susie (Roberson) Capps. He spent much of his life in the Pensacola area and was a retired J ack of All Trades. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army 1st BN 27th INF as an ammunition specialist with recognition as a Sharpshooter (rifle) and Expert (pistol). He served for 3 years including time spent overseas for special operations. He is fondly remembered for the love of his country, his freedom, steak and potatoes and his fierce dedication to family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Susie Capps; stepmother, Martha Beatty; five brothers, Rusty Beatty, Richie Beatty, Randy Beatty, Larry Beatty and Anthony Capps; two sisters, Carol Mehoffer and Pumpkin Capps; his wife, Mary T. Chang-Beatty; his stepchildren, Dena Craig, Jen Frasure, Frankie Frasure, Naomi Chang and his grandchildren, Chasity Frasure, Cora Craig and Serenity Frasure. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 12, 2017, at the Trahan Family Funeral Home.
