Betty L. Hackenberry, 95, of Lewistown, passed away at 2:10 p.m. on Saturday June 10, 2017 at her home.
Born September 11, 1921 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late William W. and Grace L. Flemming.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, George “Elmer” Hackenberry, Sr., 1 brother, 4 sisters and a son-in-law Charles W. Auman.
She is survived be her loving children, George E. Hackenberry, Jr. and wife Betty D., Charles W. Hackenberry and wife Phyllis C., Robert L. Hackenberry, Barbara J. Auman, and Beverly L. Ross, all of Lewistown. Betty was also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 30 Great-Grandchildren, and 14 Great-Great-Granchildren.
Betty was a charter member of Calvary Bible Church.
Earlier in her life, Betty loved to go to flea markets with her husband, and collect things. What meant most to Betty was her family, they truly meant everything to her.
A funeral service in loving memory of Betty will be held on Tuesday June 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan Street, with Pastor Steven Jeans officiating. There will be a viewing held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will take place in Mt. Rock Cemetery.
