Obituary for Ronald E. "Frank" White

Ronald Eugene “Frank” White of Cuba, Missouri was born Tuesday, August 30, 1938 at Cuba, Missouri to the union of James and Iva (Nee: Scott) White and left from this life surrounded by family on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Rolla, Missouri at the age of 78 years.

Frank graduated from the Cuba High School in 1956 and he was united in marriage to Sylvia Cameron on November 10, 1956 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Cuba. They were the proud parents of James, Paul and Sheila.

Frank proudly served in the United States Army, during 1956, before he joined the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force on the 10th day of May 1961.

Frank was a truck driver thirty years and he worked for Chemical Leaman Trucking in St. Louis for the last twenty plus years of his career. He retired in 1996.

Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing. On the mornings that Frank was home, you could find him at the truck stop. He would spend hours there drinking coffee and visiting with everyone that was there. In his later years Frank liked to play bingo and he would talk on the phone all day long. He would call and call until someone answered their phone.

To know Frank was to know that he loved a good debate, or arguing as some would say.

Frank was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle, great-great uncle, cousin and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents James and Iva White, wife Sylvia White, one granddaughter Chasti Bond, five brothers; Tom White, Donald White, Leon and wife Barb White, Bob White and Vernon “Porky” White, two brothers-in-law Dean Northington and Chester Cameron, three sisters-in-law Rachael Kirby, Juanita and husband Lynn Gary and Wanda May Woodruff and other family and friends.


Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his three children; James White of Springfield, Missouri, Paul R. White of Springfield, Missouri and Sheila Bogue of Cuba, four grandchildren; Michael White of California, Nathan Bogue of Cuba, Justin Bogue of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Anthony White of Springfield, Missouri, six great grandchildren, one sister Dixie Northington of Winsor, Missouri, two sisters-in-law Sharon White of Cuba and Lucy White of Springfield, Missouri, brother-in-law Earnest and wife Edie Cameron of Glendale, Arizona, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Frank’s wishes he was cremated and no public services will be held.

Inurnment will be held at the Springfield Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri.
