Obituary for Judy Metz-Bridges (Metz)

Judy Metz-Bridges (Metz)
Judy Metz-Bridges was called home by the Lord June 4 surrounded by her loving family. She fought a five year bout with ovarian cancer and passed away peacefully. She is survived by her husband Richard, stepdaughter Colleen, her brother Jack Metz Jr., uncles and aunts, many cousins and friends in Yoncalla and Texas. She was the daughter of Jack Metz Sr. and Alice Jo (Pond) Metz both deceased. Judy graduated from Yoncalla High School, Colorado Technical University and Pikes Peak Community College.
She was an Army veteran who honorable served her country and was both proud and thankful for the privilege to serve. She was multitalented in several disparate areas including talents as a Master Gardener, pastry chef, TV production specialist, IT management specialist, weaving, spinning, quilting, pottery and her specialty: bread baking. Judy loved to read and rarely if ever watched TV because it was a distraction from her other interests.
Judy was a loving wife and stepmother who always put family and friends first in everything. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
