Condolence: I am very saddened to learn of the death of Professor Jones. He was my teacher in a freshman year seminar at the University of Rochester, and left an indelible impression on me. I have often thought of him through the years, and have strong memories of his intelligence, humor, and ability to point out a freshman's errors with kindness. He was the best teacher I ever had.
