Condolence: One of my all time favorites at Austin. He taught me how to drive and in his own beautiful way always had words of wisdom. Will never forget him walking the halls with that sawed off hockey stick !!

Condolence: Dear Bob, Suzy, Elisabeth and Emily.

My sincere sympathies for the loss of your father (grandfather). I feel blessed that I had the good fortune to meet Lou and spend time with him on a number of occasions. He was one of those rare people who made you feel like a close personal friend within a few minutes after meeting him. Full of life, enormous energy, always smiling. He loved his kids and grandkids and talked of them affectionately. One of the best story tellers ever !!! Seems to me that he had the perfect career for his personality. Long time high school teacher and coach. I am sure he molded and impacted many young men and women. I loved every minute during the times I had the pleasure to spend with him. I wish I could be in Detroit for the celebration of his life.I'm sure there will be tears – but also many great stories and laughs. You had a great dad and grandfather. I will miss him.
