Bradley Dwight Folchert, 33 of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Gering, went home to his Lord Sunday, June 11, 2017 after a car accident in Colorado. His memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Burt Street Chapel, 3528 Burt Street, Omaha, NE 68131. Memorials in his name can be directed to the Coram Deo Church Community, 3528 Burt Street, Omaha, NE 68131. He will be buried in the Wellfleet Cemetery, in Wellfleet, Nebraska at a later date. Brad was born September 14, 1983 in Kearney, Nebraska to Gary and Barb (Valentine) Folchert. He attended Community Christian School and graduated from Gering High School with the class of 2002. He was active in band and cross country. He also attended WNCC and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
Brad gave his life to Jesus at a young age. His love for life was evident in the number of people he impacted in his 33 years of life. Over the last few months his love for Jesus grew stronger than ever. One of his greatest joys was his nieces and nephews and they adored him. Brad was also an organ donor, continuing helping others.
Brad was a fun loving guy and loved his family immensely. He had a very special bond with his sisters and brothers-in-law. He was a very loyal friend. Brad was passionate with his work, being a successful district sales manager, currently employed with Worth Manufacturing.
Brad is survived by his dad, Gary Folchert of Norfolk, NE; his mom and step dad Barb and Denny Pageler of Gering; his sisters and their families, Amy (Tyler) Plummer, Keaton and McKenzie of Gering, NE, and Laura (Zach) Feyerherm, Eva and Jones of Omaha, NE; and his brother Bill Folchert of Colorado. He is also survived by his step-sister Nicole (Ben) Bolton of Nevada, and many uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends across the United States.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Edward and Freida May Folchert, and Gerald (Jerry) and Helen Valentine and his brother Greg Folchert.
