The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of David Davis can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Donald Hines (Bunky)
Condolence: I was a childhood friend of Davids back in Morgantown in the 1950's. I lived on Baldwin Street in the red brick house when you lived on Takoma Street. David was my first friend. I have very fond memories of us playing together in the sandbox, on the swings, and in the woods near our houses.
Brian and Debbie, I am so sorry for the loss of your brother. I so wish I would have contacted him in the past to share our "wonder years" memories. I remember you both fondly.
Again, I am so sorry for your loss. Condolences to you both and your families.

Regards,
Don Hines (nickname back then - Bunky)

Condolence: Cindy, I am so sorry for your loss. Upon recently learning of Dave's passing memories of past times came "floooding" back. So many good times never to be forgotten. Dave's spirit and willingness to help was present every time you spoke with him. He has surely been "called home" for a greater reason we may never understand. God bless you and your family during this time of grief. Terry

Condolence: Dear Cindy and family,
Blessings to each one of you during these days and those to follow. I'm remembering how hard it is to lose a spouse you have shared so many years and memories with. Dave will never be forgotten by anyone who knew him. He was a happy, loving, and sharing man!
My heart, prayers, and thoughts are with you all. May God hold each of you in His hands.
Love Sandee

Condolence: Dear Cindy and family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Dave was a wonderful boss who I enjoyed working for. He was always fair and looked out for his employees. His care and concern for the buildings and grounds was evident in everything he did. What impressed me the most was the way he cared for the children of our school district. He will truly be missed by many.

Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers are with the all the family. I worked for Dave as a Bus Driver #21. One of the best men I have worked for. I remember Dave growing up in Devola watching by the lock wall at Devols Dam the older kids jumping and swimming in very scary waters. I never attempted this as I got older. We often talked at work about those days.

Condolence: I first met Dave when we both worked for Community Action back in the 70's. We were both young and idealistic and out to save the world. The last I talked to him was at the election polls this past Spring when he asked me about my work to improve healthcare policy. I will miss him and my sympathy to Cindy and the rest of the family.

Condolence: Dave was a respected and valued employee of MCS
for many years; he was hard working and a friend to all. His infectious smile and sense of humor was missed when he retired; we are saddened at his passing.
God bless the family members and prayers for a healing heart.
