Obituary for Martin Schottanes
SCHOTTANES, Martin – 88, of North Haledon passed away on June 25, 2017. Born in Hawthorne he has resided in North Haledon since 1960. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War and prior to his retirement he was a self-employed home improvement contractor. Martin was a long-time member and former trustee of the Golden Age Club of North Haledon.
Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Vincent) of North Haledon
Devoted father of Martin Schottanes and his wife Jill of Allendale, Eileen Kaczkin of North Haledon, Barbara Bleeker and her husband Thomas of North Haledon and David Schottanes and his wife Karen of North Haledon.
Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 7.
The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes.
Funeral Services Thursday 10 AM at the Funeral Home.
Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
