Age 57, of Export, PA, died June 27, 2017 following a long battle with cancer. Binh was born on September 3, 1959 in Saigon, Vietnam and immigrated to the United States in 1979. In 1982, he graduated from high school and married Mai (Trieu) in Pittsburgh, PA. Devoted father of David (Misty), Jamie, and Kevin (Erin); Beloved uncle of Tongsue, Katie, Levan, Hy, Krystal, Joanne, David, Ann, Esther, Darcy, Vincent, Allan, Chinh, Hanson, and Ethan; Brother of Angela, Christine, Janet, Mong, Thong, Que. He was preceded by Father Tong Ly, Mother Tam Ly, and Brother Nhon Ly. He was a successful restaurant entrepreneur, opening Sichuan Palace in Penn Hills (1989), Sichuan Wok in Plum Borough(1993), and Plum Pan Asian Kitchen in East Liberty(2008). He served as President for the Chinese Restaurant Association in 2009 and was active in helping the Chinese restaurant community. He attended the Chinese Alliance Church of Pittsburgh. Friends received Saturday, 10am-1pm at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./ Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, 2pm in Chinese Alliance Church of Pittsburgh. Entombment will follow at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery, CA.
