Obituary for Betty M. Rohrbaugh (Snyder)
Betty M. Rohrbaugh, 93, of Shrewsbury, died peacefully June 30, 2017 at the Barbara J. Egan Nursing facility in Shrewsbury.
She was born September 28, 1923, in North Hopewell Twp., York County. She was the daughter of Jacob N. Snyder and Florence (Irwin) Snyder. She was predeceased by her husband Norman J. Rohrbaugh and eight siblings.
Betty had retired from the former AMP, Inc. where she worked as a quality control inspector. She then worked for several years at Shaw Orchards. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and baking. In her younger years she enjoyed snowmobiling, spending time in the mountains, and boating on Rehoboth bay. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Shrewsbury and the Shrewsbury Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
Betty was the loving mother of Judy Wertz and her husband Dennis of Shrewsbury, Ronald Rohrbaugh and his wife Kathy also of Shrewsbury, and Norma Shermeyer and her husband Steven of Wrightsville. She was also the loving grandmother and great-grandmother of Deric, Alana, Brent, Jake, and Lilah.
Public viewing will be from 10am until 11am on Monday, July 3 at JJ Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. A graveside service will follow at approximately 11:30am in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
