Gregory N. "Ray Ray"  Day Sr.
DAY, Gregory N. “Ray Ray” Sr. age 66 of Dayton, died Saturday, July 1, 2017. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in Millington,TN, from 1972 to 1976 and received an honorable discharge. Greg was employed as a mechanic for 30 years at the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority. He was born in Dayton Ohio on August 2, 1950. Greg had a avid interest in motorcycles, aquariums and fish. He was preceded in death by his parents John E. and Ruth Day, a sister Wylma and a brother Lawrence. He is survived by daughter Janelle L. Day of Ft. Washington, MD, son Gregory N. Day Jr. (Tracie) of District Heights, MD, 4 grandchildren, his former wife and the mother of his children Deborah Day-James of Ft. Washington, MD, 2 brothers John (Fay) Day of Dayton, Eric Day (Michele) of Dayton, 2 sisters Lanetta and Michelle Day and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Services will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:30 a.m. until time of services. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be sent to www.bakerhazelsnider.com.
