Matthew Robert Miller
Matthew Robert Miller, 31, of Ithaca, New York and formerly of Conneaut Lake, passed away, Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in Wilmington, New York due to an accident. He was born on December 31, 1985 in Meadville a son of Robert L. Miller, Jr. and Brenda Lee Bacon Miller.

Matt was a 2004 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School, a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a Bachelors of Science, and a graduate of SUNY (State University of New York) at Syracuse with a Ph.D in Cell and Developmental Biology. He was working on his post doctoral research at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He had published 5 scientific papers and presented his research at national scientific conferences.

He will always be known as the guy that brought the sunshine into a room and was an accomplished mixologist and taste tester.

Matt was a member of the 46ers Club (www.adirondack.net) with his fiancee, Neva. Together they had hiked all 46 peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. He enjoyed hiking, snow skiing, water skiing, cooking, his cat, hunting, golfing, spending time with his family, and "man weekend" with his life long friends which he always made time for every year.

He is survived by the love of his life, Neva Watson of Ithaca, New York; his parents, Robert L. Miller, Jr of Conneaut Lake and Brenda L. Miller of Conneautville; a sister, Christine N. Miller of Conneautville; his paternal grandmother, Judith Miller of Meadville; his maternal grandparents, William and Barbara Bacon of Meadville; an uncle, Jerry Bacon and his wife Michelle of Conneautville; three aunts, Michelle LyBarger of Irvington, Virginia, Joni Jones and her husband Mike Davis of Guys Mills, and Melissa Thomas of Meadville; and cousins, Steven, Stephanie, Caleb, Tracy, and Kaitlyn.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert L. Miller, Sr.

There will be a celebration of life held at Station 3, 11877 Conneaut Lake Rd Conneaut Lake on July 29th from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
