James J.  Zvonkovic
James J. Zvonkovic, age 92, of West Haven, beloved husband of the late Evelyn (Franco) Zvonkovic passed away quietly and peacefully on July 5, 2017 at Milford Hospital. Born in Branford on December 16, 1924, he was the son of the late Mark and Vera (Stegina) Zvonkovic. James proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He served in the 740th field artillery and fought in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. Before retirement, he enjoyed a career as a product engineer for Sergeant and Co.

James is survived by his sons Neil Zvonkovic of West Haven and Alan (Tina) Zvonkovic of Fairfield, brother William Zvonkovic, sister Mary and her husband Stanley Zvonkovic, sister-in-law Margaret “Peggy” Zvonkovic, sister-in-law Judy Zvonkovic, sister-in-law Lola Copeland and grandson Justin Zvonkovic.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 to 2 PM at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be on Thursday, July 13th at 1 PM in Saint Lawrence Cemetery with military honors.
