Obituary for Richard Joseph Wilfrid Hobson
Hobson, Joseph Wilfrid Richard - With very heavy hearts, the family announces the death of Richard Hobson as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Monday, July 3, 2017 at the age of 50 years.
Richard was born on July 10, 1966 in Montreal to Edmond Hobson and the late Murielle Chevrier. Richard was an avid chef for most of his life and owned Rick's Magic Touch Catering alongside his wife. He offered impeccable service to those he served and always did it with pride. Richard also loved sports including the Montreal Expos, the Montreal Canadiens and the Blue Jays. He was a devoted sports fan and enjoyed sharing his interest of all sports with "Tune".
Predeceased by his mother Murielle Chevrier and his mother-in-law Rose-Eva Léveillé, Richard will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife Céline and by his daughters: Jasmine Hobson [Paul Vitti] of New Liskeard and Jannik Hobson of Sudbury, and his first grandson Leonardo "Leo". He will also be missed by his father Edmond, his siblings: Mark Hobson, Pierre Hobson and Shirley Hobson [Serge Cordey]; his father-in-law Réal Léveillé [Solange Gervais]; brothers-in-law Yoland Léveillé [Aline Villemure], Laurier Léveillé [Claire Bélanger] and sister-in-law Liette [Denis] Villemure. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Dominic, Emilie, Annie-Claude, Pierre, François and Maryse.
The Hobson family will welcome friends at the St-Jean-Baptiste Church hall on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 9:00 am. Funeral mass will be celebrated from St-Jean-Baptiste Church, Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11:00 am, Father Germain Turcotte officiating with Father Firmin Lafond.
