Obituary for Shirley T. Grimord (Taylor)

Shirley T. Grimord (Taylor)
Shirley T. Grimord, 93, wife of the late Laurent J. Grimord, died on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Connecticut Baptist Home after a brief illness. Born in Meriden on March 22, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Anna and George Taylor. She resided in Meriden and had graduated from Meriden High School. Mrs. Grimord was employed by Rite-Aid for thirty years. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Kundrat and her husband Gregory and Janice Szymaszek and her husband Andrew; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Claire Balaschak and her brother, George Taylor.
At Shirley’s request, there will be no calling hours and the funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Connecticut Baptist Home, 292 Thorpe Avenue, Meriden, CT 06450.
