Life Story for Elliott B. Artis III

Elliott B. Artis III, 62 years, a lifelong Peekskill resident, passed away on July 6,2017. He was born in Peekskill on May 20, 1955 to Elliot B., Jr. and Edna (Moseley) Artis. Elliot worked for many years as a maintenance supervisor at the Hudson River Health Center in Peekskill. He loved sports, especially football and wresting. Elliot is survived by his mother, Edna Artis, wife Francine Artis, sons; Wendell Gaskins and Elliot B. Artis IV, daughters; Monica Hammond and April Artis, and sister, Tina Brooks. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: James Edwards, Tatyann Gaskins, Wendell Gaskins, Jr., and 1 great grandchild, Tarahs Johnson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 10-11 AM at the E.O. CURRY FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM.
