Obituary for Edward Henry Funke

Edward Henry Funke
Passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the age of 88. Born in Sacramento, California on June 25, 1929 to Eimo George "EG" Funke and Jane Olive Berry Funke. A hard working and devout man, Ed made friends everywhere he went. He was a great golfer, gardener and card player. He worked in Amador County and the foothills as a Real Estate Appraiser. Most important to him, however, was his family and worship. A member of the Sutter Creek Congregation of Jehovah's Witness, he spent countless hours volunteering his time helping prisoners at Mule Creek State Prison, teaching people about the Bible, and helping others in need.
Survived by his adored and lovely wife of 66 years, Ann Boyd, his son and daughter-in-law David Funke and Kathy Creahan of Seattle, his daughter Betsey Pankonin and her husband Gary of Stockton and his grandson Casey Funke. A celebration of Ed's life will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 3pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 40 Gold Dust Trail in Sutter Creek, CA.
