Condolence: I worked with Willis often during my 35 years as a reporter and staff writer at the Star-Telegram, and am so sorry I missed attending his service.
I always enjoyed the feature assignments when Willis was along, because he was always friendly and engaging with the people we interviewed.
You could tell he loved his work and loved being out among people, and that says a lot.
Newspaper people are a family, sharing events big and small, happy and sad. Willis was a part of our family and a good friend, and he will be missed.
