Obituary for John Dotoli
WATERTOWN - John Michael Gabriel Dotoli passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Thursday, July 13, 2017.
John also known as "Pop" and "Chumley" to many friends and family was born on July 22, 1938, in Wilmington, Delaware , John grew up in Oakville where he made his home for years until moving to Waterbury. John had a great passion for riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He started riding at the young age of 11 and continued riding until age 78. John worked for years as a Skilled Welder and his work can still be found around Watertown and Waterbury. He worked as a Millwright at Industrial Riggers until his retirement. John will be missed by many and remembered for his witty sense of humor, quick comebacks and comical sarcasm.
John leaves behind his daughter, Debbie (Dotoli) Harnick, his son-in-law, Brian Harnick, his grandson, Joshua Viltrakis and grand dog, Bubba, all of Watertown, many cousins, and several friends. He will be missed by so many but never forgotten. Rest in peace Pop. Forever in our hearts.
Funeral services for Mr. Dotoli will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Buckingham St Oakville CT. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The O’Neill Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
