Joseph A.  Annello, Jr.
Rensselaer- Joseph A. Annello, Jr. age 81 of Rensselaer passed away on Thursday July 13, 2017. He was born in Albany and moved with his wife Evelyn in 1982 to Rensselaer. Joe was employed by the NYS Education Department for 31 years before retiring in 1991. Joe worked as a Budgeting Analyst. He was a member of the Italian American Club where he served as President for 5 terms, he joined in 1976 and is a current member. He was also a member of the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society, Albany Lodge of Elks BPOE #49, Albany Pop Warner where he served as a vice president working under Vince Foley for over 10 years and Whitehall Little League. Joe served in the US Army Security Agency in 1957 through 1960.
Joe was predeceased by his wife Evelyn Gonski Annello and his daughter Sandrajo Carter. He is survived by his son Joseph A. Annello, III and his grandchildren, Rachel Annello, Joseph Annello. IV, Daniel Annello and Sandrajo’s children Brian, Sammy and Jesse Carter. A special thank you’s to special care givers my son Joe, and nieces and nephews: Albert (Frannie) Cole, Denise (George) Cotugno, Lauren (Brian) Prendergast, Kim (Brian) Fahrenkopf in addition to several grandnieces, grand nephews and one great great grand niece. A special thank you to Joe’s personal aid KaylaTedford for her wonderful care.
Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Wednesday morning at 11:30 all are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Wednesday morning prior to the funeral from 9:30 to 11:30. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Greenbush.
