Obituary for Johnnie Earnestine Burgan
Johnnie Earnestine Burgan, age 84 of Dayton, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Harriman, Tennessee the daughter of William & Edith (Butler) Spears. She was an avid reader and loved to write poetry.
She is survived by her children Vicki Shadle, Melissa (James) Lee, Perry (Mary) Burgan and Michael Burgan; grandchildren Levi (Kasie) Brian (Amy), Brad, Devin (Courtney), Derek (Libby) Dalton, Christopher, Brittany (Jason), Sidney (David) and Perry Jr.; 10 great grandchildren and several other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 63 years Billy Ray Burgan in 2013, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, her son-in-law William Shadle and her granddaughter-in-law Amber Shadle.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
