The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Willie Griffin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

William Glen Griffin was born February 1959 and Wynn Allen Griffin was born February 1961. She worked for the SAISD cafeteria for many years before retiring and many of her co-workers are still friends today. Whether it was softball or bowling, or canasta she loved competition. She was very good at picking up the stray kids that needed help and nurturing them to adulthood and was called mama by many of them.
Preceding her in death was her parents- Sarah and JD Hook, her husband Ernest Glen Griffin and youngest son, Wynn Allen Griffin. Surviving her is her oldest son, William, her grandson Aaron Watson-Griffin, and nephew Jeff Jones all of San Angelo. Also sisters Margaret Scott of Eastland, Edith Lannom of Ft. Stockton, and Dollie Jones of Matador, a multitude of nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and several others she helped to raise.
