Obituary for Oran Winfield Evans
Services for Oran Winfield Evans will be at 10AM, Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Christian Living Fellowship Church, Leesville. Visitation will be from 5PM until 9PM, Monday, July 24th and from 9AM until time of service Tuesday, July 25th at the church. Interment will be at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Leesville, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Oran, 72, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at Woodlands Healthcare Nursing Home, Leesville. He loved hunting, fishing, flower gardening and watching all kinds of sports, especially baseball. He loved umpiring baseball games especially the younger kids. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Memphis Evans and Lila Katie Evans; and brother, Johnny Evans.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 35 years, Dorothy Evans; children, John Evans and wife Stefani, Kathie Evans, Janet Wall and husband Andy; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Edward Evans and wife Debbie; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
