Obituary for Robert Michael ""Mike"" Allison

Robert Michael ""Mike""  Allison
Robert M. “Mike” Allison, 75, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born March 10, 1942 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Robert Marion and Sara Ella Morningstar Allison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Wilson. He is survived by his soulmate of 35 years, Linda Helfrick of Fayetteville; and his faithful companion, Kiaba “KTW”

Mike was a 1960 graduate of Shippensburg Area High School. A US Airforce veteran, he served honorably during the Vietnam era. He later graduated from Carlisle Business School and was employed as a clerk with DESCOM at Letterkenny Army Depot until his retirement in 1985. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and reloading.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Interment will follow the service in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg, PA. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
