Louise C. Lantagne, 82, of Florence, Wis., passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.

She was born on March 28, 1935, in Bark River, Mich., daughter of the late Louis and Josephine (Novak) Barr. Louise married Donald Lantagne on July 9, 1955, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2010.

She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. Louise volunteered for the St. Vincent De Paul Society and the Dickinson County Healthcare System.

She enjoyed the many smear games she played with her husband as well as sewing hundreds of jumpers for children less fortunate. Louise also enjoyed knitting mittens and afghans, reading, and listening to country music, attending both Hodag and Porterfield music festivals.
