Paul J.  Killian
Paul J. Killian, 89, of Shippensburg, lost his battle with lung cancer in his home on July 30, 2017.

Born September 30, 1927, he was a son of the late Paul R. and Grace Myers Killian.

Paul worked at SKF for 42 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed camping, bowling, woodworking in his shop, boating, clamming, fishing in Ocean City, and spending time with family and friends. Paul was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orrstown, Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post #6168, Shippensburg, Path Valley Stag Club, Fannettsburg, Mason Dixon Travelers, Tri-State Weekenders Camping Club, and the Shippensburg Fish and Game Association.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marjorie Shoop Killian; a son Larry (Shirley) Killian, of Walnut Bottom; a daughter Ann (Ed) Rowles, of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Lonny, Jimmie, Bobby, and Aaron; five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brad, Allen, Talon, and Kayla; five great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Edna (Norman) Besore, Peg (Fred) Dyarmine, and Barb (Dave) Oyler; one brother Kenny Killian; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kimmy Mears; a great-grandson, Mason Paul Killian; two brothers; and one sister.

He will be especially missed by his beloved dog, Lady, that never left his side.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 3, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orrstown. Officiating will be Vicar Aaron Smith. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spirit Trust Lutheran Hospice Home Care, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
