Obituary for Katherine Bufalini (Kinsella)

Katherine (Kay) Frances Bufalini (Kinsella) of Bridgeport, formerly of Trumbull, passed away on August 2, 2017 at the age of 81. Wife of the late Patsy Pasquale Palmieri and the late Gentile Bufalini. Devoted mother to Katherine Scinto and her husband Edward, of Stratford, the late John Palmieri, the late Patricia Moran and her husband Mark, of Stratford, Joseph Palmieri and his wife Valerie, of Monroe and Christine Bufalini and her fiancé Sherman Sottak, of Waltham, MA. Kay cherished her six grandchildren, Matthew Moran, Kelly Scinto, Kaitlin Moran, Leonard Scinto, Ashley Palmieri and Nicole Palmieri. Kay was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Kinsella, of Dublin, Ireland and Bridgeport. Sister to Joseph Kinsella of Vancouver, WA, the late Ann Jacksis and her husband Steven, of Stratford, Patrick Kinsella and his wife, Carol, of Suwanee, GA, Lawrence Kinsella, of West Haven and James Kinsella, of Milford. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Kay also enjoyed cooking, quilting, gardening and reading. Kay was an avid walker and was a participant in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. As a selfless individual, Kay dedicated herself to helping others and volunteer work. A mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Jude Parish Church in Monroe on Tuesday, August 8 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery in Stratford. Kay's family would like to acknowledge the dedicated and compassionate care offered by The Jewish Senior Services, The Griswold Agency and Carolyn Brotherton. Donations may be made in Kay's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 200 Executive Blvd, Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
