Obituary for Teresa Margaret Bonneville

Teresa Margaret Bonneville passed away on August 2nd, 2017 from complications with cancer. Teresa was the only daughter among four brothers who were born to Edward and Elizabeth Pool.
A lifelong Arlington resident, Teresa attended St. Maria Goretti’s Catholic school, graduated from Arlington High School and spent her college years at the University of Texas at Arlington. She married Daryl Bonneville and had one daughter Christine. She was a scan coordinator for the Albertsons grocery chain for the majority of her professional years. It was here were she met her best friend and kindred spirt in life Sonja.

Teresa was the first visitor on opening day of Six Flags over Texas in 1961. It was a claim to fame that brought her back as a guest of the park for many happy anniversary celebrations. Family was the overriding theme in Teresa’s life. She cherished her four brothers and they in turn included her in their far ranging activities. Musical concerts, family trips and backyard barbecues were some of the events she most enjoyed. Teresa loved music, cooking, dogs, flowers but relished gatherings with her relatives most of all.
Nothing revealed Teresa’s personality more than her pride in her own daughter. She embraced Christine’s marriage to Gary Simpson and the births of their four children were times for joy. One of her last great pleasures was learning her eldest granddaughter was expecting the birth of a girl.
Kindness and compassion were values Teresa exhibited her entire life. She was a primary caregiver in the family circle, providing for her grandmother and mother in their senior periods. Most notable was the role she played assisting her older brother Mike as he faced many health issues in the last years of his life. Her selflessness and devotion to caring and supporting them all was remarkable.
The strength and dignity Teresa showed in her struggles against cancer are a testament to her love for life and others. Her family and friends will miss her immeasurably.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Elizabeth Pool, brothers Pat and Mike Pool and husband Daryl Bonneville.
