Condolence: My deepest sympathies and prayers for the Zitoli family on the sudden loss of our beloved Gerry. I had the honor of working with him for 15 years at Tufts Health Plan. He was a great listener, teacher, and mentor. When you brought an issue to Gerry, you always walked away with a better understanding, a solid, well explained position, and an answer. I loved having Gerry on my side.

We all will miss his humor, kindness, and his offer to buy you a cup of coffee and talk it over. I can still see him in the cafe, leaning across the table, shaking his head, waving his arms, passionately stating his well reasoned position. God bless you Gerry. You will leave a huge void in the Tufts Health Plan family. You will be fondly remembered by many. May you Rest In Peace.

Condolence: Gerry and I started at Tufts Health Plan at the same time, so I had the honor and privilege of working with him for 27 years. I am so very saddened by his passing and send my heartfelt condolences to Gerry’s family and friends.

Condolence: My condolence to the Zitoli family. I was on the other side of the negotiation table with Gerry and I found him to be very professional, articulate and thorough as to what he wanted and why. He took the time to make sure I understood his position and provide a little coaching along the way. Having only known him on a professional basis I enjoyed learning more about him in his obituary. I was not surprised to find he was a wonderful family man who will be missed by many.

Condolence From: Kelly Farewell
Condolence: Dear Zitoli Family,
My deepest sympathies to you on the loss of Gerry. It was a pleasure working with him at Tufts Health Plan for many years. While it was admittedly intimidating to be called to his office for an issue, it was fascinating to watch him work, explain his reasoning, and help solve issues. He inspired me to always bring my "A" game. I echo the sentiments of our many colleagues when I say he will be sorely missed for his warmth, his friendly smile, and his dedication to his work. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Kelly Farewell

Condolence: Dear Zitoli family- I was so sadden by the shocking news of Gerry’s passing. I am personally honored to have known him and had the pleasure of working with him over the past 16 years. Gerry was an extremely talented attorney who always took time to explain his rationale by providing an analogy of why he came to a decision. Some of them were creative and funny which made learning from him such a joy. I will miss his kind and warm smile and his early morning hellos. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: Dear Zitoli Family: I am so very, very sorry for your loss. I have had the pleasure of working with Gerry for over 20 years at THP. At one challenging client meeting in particular, I remember thinking how happy I was that I was sitting next to him rather than across from him at the table - he was someone you definitely wanted on your side. He was such a presence at Tufts Health Plan and all of us are the better for knowing him. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers My deepest sympathy.

Condolence: Dear Zitoli Family, I was so very very saddened to hear the news of Gerry's passing. My condolences to you. I had the great fortune and immense pleasure to work with Gerry since his first day at Tufts Health Plan. I remember his first office where he had a door but no doorknob. We always laughed about that. Also, his office was across from the water cooler and he was always willing to flip the water jugs for us. Even though in recent years we did not work together that often I always knew I could call Gerry for discussion and guidance when an issue arose. I echo all the sentiments of my coworkers. Gerry was one of the truly nice guys. I will miss his smile. I will miss him. May your memories and those shared with you as well as your family and friends provide comfort and support .

Condolence: Dear Zitoli family,

None of this is probably news to you, but hopefully the slightest comfort.

I knew that I'd love working with Gerry from the first day that I met him. He was very decisive, but also a very good listener and would consider any facts contributed, from anyone willing to speak up, before stating his position. He didn't pretend to have all of the answers, but it was obvious that he knew most everything anyway. He truly cared about his work and was always invested in finding the best outcome.

He was direct, genuine, intelligent, articulate and funny. He was a leader.

I will especially miss meeting him at our parking spots in the THP garage, which were across the aisle from each other. We "claimed" the spots years ago as we arrived in the very early morning. After reading the obituary, I know that it won't surprise the family to learn that he carefully backed into his spot every day and that it was directly next to the exit - I just did not realize that this was zombie apocalypse prep until this week.

Gerry's time was far too short and he will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
