KENTON LARUE  McCREARY
On Sunday, July 23, 2017, Kenton Larue McCreary, Sr. passed from this life in Austin, TX. He was born December 4, 1954 in Owensboro, KY. He was baptized at Blessed Sacrament Church, he received his first Holy Communion and confirmation at Precious Blood Both of Owensboro. When the family moved to Columbus he attended Holy Rosary and Columbus Public Schools. He graduated from South High School in 1972, from there he joined the apprenticeship program with Crossman Plumbing. Later in life he made Texas his home state. In July 2016 he returned to assist his mother and make his home in Columbus. Preceded in death by fathers, John Huff, Jr. and Leroy A. McCreary, Sr; brother, Leroy A. McCreary, Jr.; grandparents, D.J. and Grace Hayden, John and Annie Huff, Geogiana and Malcolm McCreary. Kenton leaves to cherish his memory wife, Alicia Sedwick-McCreary; mothers, Doris Cozetta Huff and Betty McCreary; son, Kenton McCreary II; grandchildren, Kamarion, Kiersten, Kylee, Khamad, Kenton, III, Madden and Kysen; sisters, Vanessa Robbinson, Toni Boelter, and Pamela (Larry) Hatchett; brothers, Daniel Boelter and Vance West; step sisters, Joyce McKenzie, Regina Frazier, Christie, Lisa and Helen Curry; step brothers, Claypool, Billie, Jamie and David Curry; and a host of relatives and friends in Owensboro, KY, Columbus, OH and Texas.
