Richard J "Ricky"  Bourgeois
Richard J. “Ricky” Bourgeois, 61, of Gardner died peacefully Saturday, August 5, 2017 after being stricken ill at home.
Ricky was born in Minto, N.B. Canada on February 15, 1956, the son of the late Normand J. and Rita (Boucher) Bourgeois.
He attended Gardner High School, and was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
Ricky was employed by several furniture manufacturing shops in the local area, most recently Standard Chair of Gardner.
He enjoyed fishing, including deep sea fishing, and football. He enjoyed spending time at Peaceful Pines and spending time with his family. He also loved spending time with ‘Goofy’ the Chihuahua.
Ricky was a member of the Beagle Club of Gardner, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #747 and the Polish American Citizens Club of Gardner. He was also a member of the Deep Sea Club, where he tended bar.
He leaves one brother, Gary J. Bourgeois and his wife Sundra of Gardner; one sister, Linda “LuLu” M. LaDeau of Gardner; niece, Tammy Bourgeois-Bellis, nephews, Todd J. LaDeau, Shawn J. Bourgeois and Corey L. Bourgeois; several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Ricky was predeceased by his brother Robert Bourgeois who died in 1971.
Calling hours will be held Friday, August 18th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, followed by a Graveside Service in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gardner Animal Control Facility (with checks made payable to City of Gardner Shelter Fund) c/o Board of Health, 95 Pleasant Street, Room 29, Gardner, MA 01440.
