LEE, Fung Luen (李何鳳鸞) August 14 1917 – August 01, 2017 of Scarborough Ontario, passed away peacefully with her family by bedside at the Scarborough McNicoll Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Centre, at sleep.
Fung Luen was born in Canton, China, the daughter of Woo Tai and Kam Woo Ho. Fung Luen attended school in Canton and later married to beloved husband Sze in China. After marriage, Fung Luen and her husband moved to Hong Kong. In 1975, Fung Luen and her entire family immigrated to Canada and made Scarborough her home since 1976.
Fung Luen’s talents were many, she was extremely accomplished seamstress and knitter, a beloved mother, grandmother, residents’ representative at Yee Hong Centre and friend who loved to entertain. She enjoyed eating “dim Sum” with her family and gardening.
Fung Luen was survived by 4 daughters, Wai Yee Leung, Carol Chan (Steven), Margaret Lee, Yona Chang (Daniel), 2 sons Hing Chin (Rosetta) , Michael (Katherine), 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Friends may pay final respect to Fung Luen on wednesday August 16, 2017 at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home (4 traffic lights north of Highway 7, on the east side of Woodbine). Visitation is from 10 am - 11 am. A Christian Service will commence at 11 am to be followed immediately by cremation at Highland Hills Crematorium, 12492 Woodbine Avenue in Gormley, Ontario.(Woodbine and Stouffville side road)
