Obituary for Heber Lloyd Spangler

Heber Lloyd  Spangler
Heber Lloyd Spangler, 82, of Myrtle Creek passed away from cancer on August 6, 2017 with his wife of 45 years, Mary by his side. He was born on August 13, 1934 to Loyd and Mayme Spangler in Neeleyville, Missouri. He graduated from Roseburg High School in 1952. Heber enlisted in the Army and was honorably discharged. During his time in the Army he was Rader Repairman at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona. He was the owner of the Roseburg Stereo Shop, a master gardener, an avid reader and always willing to help anyone need. Heber has been a resident of Myrtle Creek for 25 years and previously lived in Roseburg. Heber is survived by his wife Mary (Larson); step daughters Karen Hilgart and Lorelei O’Connor, stepsons Stephen, Bernie (JoAnne Ono) and Mark (Kristen). He is also survived by his sister, Erma Seehawer and a brother, Chester (Karen) Spangler. In addition Heber leaves behind 9 grandchildren, Zachary and Timothy Hilgart, Michael O”Connor, Matthew, Kathleen, Celeste, Gabriel, Eli, and Ian Hilgart, four great grandchildren Lucas, Elijah, Rosie, Isach and many nieces and nephews. Heber is preceded in death by his parents, a brother; Gary Spangler, a sister; Juanita Tobiska and stepson Cris.
A graveside service will be held at Roseburg National Cemetery on August 18, 2017 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Community Kitchen or Saving Grace. Please visit Heber web site at www.wilsonschapeloftherosesfh.com to leave fond memories and condolences.
