Condolence From: Philip Slyfield
Condolence: To Catherine and Patricia and families. Please accept my sincere condolences on the death of your mother, Shirley. Although I have not lived in the Oshawa area or seen your mother for many decades, I still well remember her and your father Doug and quite clearly recall attending their wedding. I also wish to thank you for the condolences you and your mother kindly expressed to us on the death of our own mother this past May. Philip Slyfield, Ottawa, Ontario.

Condolence From: Marilyn (Slyfield) Moulton
Condolence: To Cathy and Patti and your families I wish to say we are thinking of you. As you know we lost our Mom this past May so can certainly empathize with all the conflicting emotions you must be feeling. I'm so glad that we had a chance to say hello to your Mother after all these years when you were at Traditions for the lunch a while back. I have such fond memories of babysitting you two girls when you were little. Your Mom and Dad were the best! Your Mom would always leave me a fancy plate of little sandwiches and cookies covered neatly in clear wrap along with a coke, a rare treat for me. She was so kind and I am sure that thoughtfulness was symbolic of how she was all her life. For years we exchanged Christmas cards and I especially remember her neat handwriting and kind words. I always thought of her as a truly good person, quiet and unassuming, but strong when she needed to be as when your Dad died way too soon. Let's hope both she and my Mom are in a better place now.
