COBURN, Catherine “Cathie” (nee Brown)

After a brief illness, it is with great sadness that the family announces Cathie’s passing on August 20th, 2017, in her 75th year. Loving mother of Catherine (Dan), Carol (Shelly) and Linda (Harry). Proud Nana of Craig and Cole, by whom she will be greatly missed. Predeceased by her husband Albert of 50 years whom she has now gone to meet and be by his side. Cathie will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by many relatives and friends. Cathie was born on September 27, 1942 in Glasgow, Scotland where she was raised and met and married her late husband Albert. They moved to Canada in 1973 with their three children. Cathie worked in the retail industry where she made many friendships over the years. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton for their kind and compassionate care. Cremation has taken place and a private family Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made by donation to the Bob Kemp Hospice 277 Stone Church Road East, Hamilton, ON L9B 1B1.
