Obituary for Paiton Elizabeth Gardner

Paiton Elizabeth Gardner
Paiton Elizabeth Gardner, 19, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Saturday, August 19, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah. A public viewing will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Strode Funeral Home from 9:00a.m. - 9:00p.m. Her funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the corner of Western and 26th in Stillwater, OK. on Saturday, August 26 at 2:00p.m., with an additional, brief viewing from 1:00-1:45p.m. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater, OK.
Paiton was born on January 2, 1998 to Brandt and Mary Gardner in Provo, Utah.
Paiton attended Stillwater Schools. She played soccer for the Stillwater High School girls’ soccer team and studied cosmetology at Meridian Technology Center. She was currently a student at the University of Utah and a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Paiton was a loyal daughter and friend, always free with love and forgiveness for others. She was concerned with anyone who was left out, less fortunate, or in distress and spent her senior year of high school volunteering with special needs children. She worked as a phlebotomist at the University of Utah hospital and was amazed by the human body.
Paiton loved to make things beautiful and could be counted on to make everyone around her feel special and treasured. She loved children and was a favorite babysitter to dozens. She was happiest when she was surrounded by people she loved and when she was giving service to others. Paiton is so very loved and will be tremendously missed. She is gone much earlier than we would like, but her family knows she is in the arms of our Savior and loved ones gone before.
She is survived by her parents, Brandt and Mary Gardner, her sister Bethany (Shaw) and brother in law Dallin, her younger brothers, Tanner and Jackson Gardner, all of Stillwater, OK, her grandparents, Wayne and Dianna Bingham of Independence, MO; Duane and Julie Gardner of St. George, UT, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with hundreds, if not thousands, of friends.
