Obituary for Eva Faye Altom (Collins)

Eva Faye Altom, of Cherokee, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2018 in Louisianna.
Eva was born in Bossier Parish, LA to Henry Collins and Thelma (Bonnette) Collins on December 22, 1944. Eva graduated from the Nursing School at Chester Hospital in 1976 and spent the next 15 to 20 years caring for Home Health patients in San Saba County. She loved her plants, antiques, old movies, reading and loved her family. She loved being home with her cat, Baby. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by 1 son: Joseph Woodrone and wife, Peggy, of Dallas County, Texas; 1 daughter: Elizabeth Anderson and husband, David, of Cross Plains, Texas; 3 sisters: Ernestine Whitaker and husband, Jerry, of West Virginia, Helen Sue Hayes of LA and Vera Shepard of LA; 8 grandchildren: Kari Woodrone, Chris Woodrone, Mitzei Hill and husband, Justin, Berit and Macaylo Anderson, Natalie Marie Anderson, Ashley Mariam Anderson, Derek Gauney and C.J. Hanley; 1 great-grandchild: Charlie Brooke Anderson.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters: Edwina Calloway and Mildred Barnes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Kuykendall Cemetery.
