Obituary for Carl Donald Gribaudo Jr.
On August 23, 2017, Carl Donald Gribaudo, Jr., 76, passed away suddenly at his home in Galt. Carl was born November 14, 1940, in Lodi, CA. AS the oldest of five children, he spent his childhood helping out on the family dairy. He was a member of the 4-H and FFA clubs. He attended St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Carl graduated from Oak View Elementary and Galt High School. He worked on a dairy ranch in Lockeford. He spent a lot of time outdoors and took pride in his gardening and working in his yard.
Carl enjoyed the family trips to Jackson Rancheria and to Reno. But, what Carl loved most was his family. He was known for his big kind heart. He especially enjoyed visiting with the friendly volunteers from Meals on Wheels.
His father, Carl Donald Gribaudo, Sr., mother Angeline Gribaudo Hall; brother, LeRoy Gribaudo; step-father, Clair Hall preceded him in death.
Carl is survived by his wife, Jackie; his two children, Brian (Maya) Gribaudo and Michele (Cecilia Rodriguez) Jimenez Gribaudo; grandchildren, Alexandra Jimenez and Alex Jimenez; brother, Galen (Darlene) Gribaudo; sisters, Sandra (Dennis) Quashnick and Carol (Mike) Davidson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, from 10-5pm at Lodi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Lockeford. Committal will follow at San Joachim Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Carl’s name can be mailed to Meals on Wheels, 7334 Park City Drive, Sacramento, CA 95831 or offered to your favorite charity. A virtual register may be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com where memories can be shared. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
