Florence (Florie) Turbe passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 26. Florie was a long time resident of Kew Gardens, and enjoyed a long and proud career as a Flight Attendant for United Airlines, where her work included domestic and international routes, including United's charter service for US military personel to and from Saigon during the Vietnam War.

Florie's brothers Paul and Eddie, and her nephew John, have passed before her. She is survived by her sister Ann, and her nephews and nieces, Steve, Lynne, Charles, Jean, Janet, Joan, and Bill, and a large extended family.

Her memorial service will be on Wednesday, August 30, at Leo F Kearns Funeral Home, at the North Richmond Hill location:
85-66 115th St at Myrtle Ave, Richmond Hill, NY 11418
Visitation hours will be from 3 PM to 7 PM.

On Thursday morning, August 31, there will be a funeral mass at 9:45 AM at Holy Child Jesus Church , 111-11 86th Ave Richmond Hill, NY 11418, followed by a family burial service at Maple Grove Cemetery.
