Obituary for Pearle Main (Wallace)

CRYSTAL & BANGOR- Pearle Main,89, passed away August 30th at the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor. She was born April 13, 1928 to Lloyd and Ruth (Hosford) Wallace.

Pearle was raised in Island Falls and graduated from Island Falls High School. She married Jack Main in 1947 and resided in Crystal where they raised their family. She worked many years for Patten Insurance Agency in Patten. She touched many lives in her 89 years. She always found the good in every person and situation. And we will never forget her sense of humor which she shared with us right to the end.

She is survived by her son, Spencer and his wife, Lois; daughter, Lisa and wife, Robin; her "bonus" son, Andy and wife, Becky; four grandchildren, Tara and husband, Pete, Eric and wife, Leana, Andrew and wife, Megan and Adam; great grandchildren Jacob, Lauren, Lila, Elin, Libby, Grace and Hunter; brother, Terry and wife, Taiko; sister of her heart, Muriel and her family; daughter of her heart, Jude; numerous cousins, extended family and friends. Besides her mother and father, Pearle was predeceased by her husband, Jack; her son Jamie and her sister Joyce.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday September 16 at the Island Falls Baptist Church with a reception following downstairs. Interment will be at Crystal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Maine Veterans Home activity fund at 44 Hogan Rd in Bangor.
