Obituary for Harold Lehman Wenger
Our beloved father, Harold Lehman Wenger, 92, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully at home with his family Thursday, August 31, 2017.
He was born September 5, 1924 in Shippensburg, Franklin County. Harold was a son of the late Paul I. and Clara Belle (Lehman) Wenger. His wife of 66 years, Betty Kyle Wenger preceded him in death July 9, 2014.
Also preceded in death by sisters; Eleanor (Merion) Mooney, Naomi (Ira) Lesher and sister-in-law Ruth Wenger.
He was a member of the Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church, Shippensburg and attended Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg for the past 17 years. Harold was a retired dairy farmer.
He is survived by three children, Sandy J. Wenger, Judy A. Wenger and Ivan L. Wenger; a brother, Charles L. Wenger; all of Shippensburg, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2017 in Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church at 11 a.m. with Pastor Charles and Mrs. Ruth Lehman officiating. Private burial will be in Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg and one hour prior to the services at church on Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church, 7041 Cumberland Highway, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
