Kenneth J.  Lueddeke, Jr.
Kenneth J. Lueddeke, Jr., 73, of Toms River, NJ died on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ after a brief illness. He was born in Alliance, NE and was raised in Newark, NJ before moving to Toms River, NJ in 1977. Kenneth proudly served his country in the US Navy on the USS Belmont. He worked for 27 years in management with the Acme Corp. but retired from the Star Ledger in 2014. Kenneth was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4969. He was an avid Eagles fan and will be sadly missed by his sons and cherished grandchildren.
Kenneth is predeceased by his parents Kenneth J. Lueddeke, Sr. and Claire (McKnight) Lueddeke; his wife Patricia Lueddeke and brother Michael Lueddeke.
Surviving are his sons Kenneth R. Lueddeke and his wife Tara of Toms River, NJ and Christopher Lueddeke and his wife Rhonda of Bayville, NJ; his siblings William Lueddeke of Kenilworth, NJ, Paul Lueddeke of Kenilworth, NJ, Ellen Spurr of Kenilworth, NJ, Lois Lueddeke of Matawan, NJ, Robin Lueddeke of Kenilworth, NJ, Susan Washuta of Kenilworth, NJ and Albert Lueddeke of Bloomsbury, NJ and his 5 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 4-8pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River, NJ.
