Gladys G. (Brush) Allison, 88, of Sherburne, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich.
She was born December 4, 1928 in Tuxedo, NY, a daughter of Glen I. and Bernice L. Bryant Brush. She received her early education in Harrow, Canada, and was a graduate of Mahopac (NY) High School. On October 1, 1950, Gladys married Louis L. Allison in Mahopac. He predeceased her on December 10, 2006. Gladys had worked at WalMart in Norwich until retiring in 2000. She had previously been a custodian in the Sherburne-Earlville Central Schools, and had also worked at W.T. Grant in Norwich and Chenango Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the Faith Baptist Tabernacle in Sherburne, and the Create Your Own Card Club.
Surviving are her children, Starr Louise Clark of Sherburne; Patricia and Douglas Boos of Smyrna; Lillian Cashman of Sherburne; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased a grandson, Philip “PJ” Cashman, her twin brother, Glen Brush, and a brother, Kenneth Brush.
Graveside services will be held a 1pm Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in the Sherburne Quarter Cemetery.
