Passed away peacefully at The Pines, in Bracebridge, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Bernie, in 2008. Vonnie is survived by her children: Candis (Robert), Bernene (Chuck), Tom, Janine (Kevin). Grandchildren: Noelle (Duc), Tov (Ian), Cailin (Michael) Jori, Graeme (Claudia), Maisan (Courtney), Kevan (Marshall), Robin (Colin) and Dustin. Great grandchildren Wren, Jay, Maple, Charles, Amy, and Olin. In keeping with Yvonne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Yvonne's life will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Gravenhurst Branch.
A special thanks goes to the very kind staff of Oak Unit at The Pines for their loving care of Yvonne during the past two years. In memory of Vonnie, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to the OSPCA. Arrangements entrusted to the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home, Gravenhurst.
