Irene Mary (Kolb) Regan, 96 years, formerly of 536 Lindbergh Way, Lewistown went to be with the Lord Wed. Sept 6, 2017 at Ohesson Manor. Irene was born July 31, 1921 in Leominster, MA, the daughter of the late Oscar and Emmy ( Mix) Kolb. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas F. Regan Jr, in 1999.
Surviving are two sons, Michael B. Regan (Diana) of Quakertown, Pa. and Thomas F. Regan III (Glennis) of Scottsdale, AZ. Also Surviving are two grandsons: Michael T. Regan of Quakertown and Dr. Patrick A. Regan of Pittsburgh,PA. Irene was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard Kolb of Manchester, NH and Robert Kolb of Leominster, MA.
Early in life she was a house wife, raising her sons in Leominster, MA and then in Shamokin and Lewistown, PA. Later, Irene worked at the Hello Gift and Card Shop on Market Street in Lewistown. Irene was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, the Lewistown Country Club, where she was a Women’s Club Champion in the 1970’s. Passionate about golf, she played many rousing rounds and won a lot of dimes! She was also very proud of having had a hole-in-one. In addition, Irene was an avid sports fan of all New England teams, especially the Red Sox and Patriots; and a loyal Penn State fan for many years.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Irene’s life will be held on Wed. Oct. 25, 2017, at a 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with the Fr. Jayson officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Rock Cemetery.
