Obituary for Krystyna Waupotitsch (Kon)

Krystyna Waupotitsch (Krystyna Kon), beloved wife of Vladimir Waupotitsch, died peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Southport, CT. Krystyna, was born into a large, loving family in Werynia/Kolbuazowa, Poland in 1947. She immigrated to the United States in 1969, to join her sister, Genowefa Musial, and her family in Bridgeport, CT. Shortly after her arrival she met and later married her loving husband of 46 years, Vladimir, and had two sons whom she adored, Robert and Kristopher.

Krystyna was a charismatic and enthusiastic woman, whom after becoming a beautician, owned and operated a successful beauty salon known as Mademoiselle's, first in Fairfield, CT and later in Bridgeport, CT. Krystyna also had a passion for traveling and made it a priority to travel yearly with her family and she has passed on her entrepreneurial spirit and love of travel to her sons.

Krystyna was predeceased by her brothers, Tedeusz Poplawski, Jan Kwiatkowski, Wladyslaw Leszcyznski, and her sister, Genowefa Musial, and is survived by her husband, Vladimir Waupotitsch, brother Josef Leszczynski, son Robert Waupotitsch, daughter in-law Monica Lafferty-Waupotitsch, and son Kristopher Waupotitsch. A Memorial Service will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Fairfield, CT at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017 with interment in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. The Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport has been entrusted with the services. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that a donation be made in honor of Krystyna Waupotitsch to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
