Arcenio Adan  Lujan
Arcenio Adan Lujan, 83, a resident of Maestas Canyon, NM, passed away at his home on Thursday surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian and Donilia Lujan; his parents-in-law Abedon and Maria I. Ortiz; his children: Guadalupe, Magdalena, Michael Alan, and Arcenio Lujan Jr. and his brothers and sisters: Herman, Rosa, Sam, Socorro, Gilbert, Lorenza, and Leo.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Maria Elena of the family home in Maestas Canyon; three daughters, Clara J. Lujan Saiz of Maestas Canyon, Maria Teresita Lujan of Rociada, NM, and Aggie Lujan of Maestas Canyon; two sons: Patrick Lujan and wife Clara of Albuquerque, NM and Edward Lujan and his companion Sandra Valdez of Maestas Canyon; 17 grandchildren: Amanda Lujan, Angelica Soares, Jeremiah Lujan, Steven Olivas, Michael Grace, Justin Saiz, Arcenio Lujan III, Ashley Dominguez, Hannah Grace, Jessie Marie Saiz, Dominique Lujan, Natasha Garduno, Adrian Santillanes, Esperanza Saiz, Destenie Lujan, Kaitlyn Lujan, and Wyatt Lujan. 14 great-grandchildren: Jovan Lujan, Aric Johnson, Isiah Soares, Rico Garduno, Brett Lujan, Zariah Soares, Luciana Sanchez, Kayden Lujan, Zoey Lujan, Graciala Sanchez, Judah Soares( in vitro) , Baby Garduno (in vitro), Michael Grace, D’Kadence Dominguez; his step-mother, Elvira Lujan, siblings: Eva Elridge, Isabel Hedrick, Helen Carbon, Estella Lujan, Angela Lujan, Sam Lujan, Juan Lujan and other extended family members.
Arcenio was born on August 8, 1934 in Canon de Manuelitas. Arcenio enlisted in the U. S. Army in April of 1953 and was honorably discharged on March of 1958. He married the love of his life, Maria Elena Ortiz on November 4, 1961 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church and worked as a cement finisher and carpenter for many years. He loved living the ranch life and working with his cows. He was a dedicated catholic to Our Lady of Sorrows Church as well as a mayordomo at the Santo Nino Church in Lower Rociada, NM. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a very well liked member of his community who loved to joke. He lived his life to the fullest and will be dearly missed.
All services will be held from Our Lady of Sorrows Church beginning with a rosary on Friday evening, September 22, 2017 beginning at 7:00 p.m.The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning, September 23, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. The interment will follow in the Santo Nino Cemetery in Lower Rociada, NM with the following serving as casket bearers: Justin Saiz, Jeremiah Lujan, Michael Grace, A. J. Lujan, Steven Olivas, and Adrian Santillanes. Honorary bearers will be Frank Ortiz, SIlviano Gomez, Wyatt Lujan, Joe Vigil Sam Lujan Lawrence Lujan, and Dennis Lujan.
