Obituary for Willaim James Sims

Willaim James  Sims
Sims, William J. – age 84 – of Knoxville, TN passed away September 21, 2017. He was a member of Hines Valley Baptist Church, retired from Y12 and enjoyed farming.

William is preceded in death by his parents Hobert and Rosie Sims; wife Betty Sims; brothers Otis and Jack Sims; grandson Austin Newcombe.

He is survived by his wife Shirley S. Sims; son Alan ( Donna) Sims; daughter Vicki (Frank Loftis) Coode; stepdaughters Debbie (Dennis) Newcombe and Kim (Tony) Safi;
grandchildren Kurt, Stephanie, Kim, Jamee, Kerri, Cole, Dustin, Will, Natallie, Chantal and Andre; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild ; brother Gene Sims and sister Mary Bohanan.

Services will be held Saturday September 23, 2017 at Woodhaven Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN 37849. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm with the funeral service at 1:00pm. A graveside service will immediately follow at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens with Reverend Alan Williams officiating. Woodhaven Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens are honored to serve the Sims family.
