Condolence: I always knew my dad's sister as Aunt Maxine. I never knew her during the spring of her life. Through family history and stories I learned of the growing up years in Lander and going off to nursing school, marriage to Dr. Les McGonigle and moving to Cheyenne. I met her during the summer of her years, raising her family and supporting different social activities of interest. I choose to remember the good times of family dinners, fishing and camping and growing up playing with cousins.. As she passed through the seasons of her life, changes occur and hardships confronted her. It must have been pioneer spirit of her parents that gave her the character and fortitude to overcome these adversities. Those fall years were tough and yet she found comfort and happiness with Bud Cooper. In the full cycle of life the fall turns to winter and Aunt Maxine continued to move on with her life. The next generation were on their way, grandchildren getting married, having their children and enjoying the time with family, friends and social activities filled her days. Aunt Maxine has past but she leaves a legacy of the pioneer spirit born of hardship and ability to overcome adversity as a living tribute for those who wish to honor her memory. Aunt Maxine may you rest in eternal peace, you work here is done.

Condolence: Maxine will be missed. She was a very proud woman. Loving and kindhearted. She could hit the straightest golf ball! Was very competitive on the course and the game table. If it was bridge with the ladies or family, go fish or UNO with the grand kids, you had to earn what wins you could make. No Gimmie's! She was devoted to her family, proud of all their accomplishments and career paths. She enjoyed relating the endeavors of all of her grand children and later great-grands to those around her. Always with a twinkle in her eye. She could out 'opinionate' anyone on most any political topic. Loved to read and enjoyed her lovely garden.
We were fortunate to have her as Grandmother and friend. Rest easy Maxine.
